About Us
In 1963 I purchased my first bicycle, a purple Schwinn Varsity 10-spd. Being the youngest of 4 children, whatever bike I rode up till then was well broken-in by the time it fit me. I worked for months delivering newspapers to earn the $70 that it cost to buy my new Schwinn, but the hard work made me appreciate the bike even more. The bike was my pride and joy—it was so much more than a toy, it meant freedom, freedom to go where I wanted, when I wanted.
After a year or two of hard use it finally needed a repair which I couldn't do myself. The bike needed a freewheel and I didn't have the special tool needed to take the old one off. I took the bike back to my friendly neighborhood Schwinn store from where I purchased the bike. Well, when I picked my Schwinn up the freewheel had been replaced, but the mechanic didn't clean off the spoke protector and I also had to walk the bicycle to the nearest gas station to get air for the tires—I never took the bicycle back again, and I never forgot the experience.
Since 1976 I have owned Motorless Motion and have tried to put the customer first. Unfortunately the business is big enough that I have to hire employees, but they have all heard the above story. If you are unhappy with Motorless Motion, an employee, our customer service, a repair, or anything at all, please feel free to contact me. I'll do anything within reason to make you, the customer, happy.
